Instructions for Installation

Dry Install

1.  Clean the area thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol using a paper towel (If the area is not completely clean, the decal will not adhere)

2.  Flip the decal over and remove the backing

3.  Line up the decal and apply slowly, making sure the decal is aligned

4.  Use a credit card or vinyl squeegee to rub over the top of the decal to help adhere the decal to the surface

5.  Slowly remove the transfer tape from the decal. If the decal lifts, use your card or squeegee to apply pressure to the decal while lilting the transfer tape off the decal.

6. Remove any air bubbles using a very fine pin or blade

7. Use heat source (heat gun/hair dryer) to set the decal

Wet Install

Useful for larger decals.  Do NOT use on large reflective decals.

1.   Clean the area thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol using a paper towel

2.  Mix 20oz of water, use one drop dish soap and ½ teaspoon of isopropyl alcohol

3.  Spray your solution where you plan to install

4.  Remove the backing paper from decal

5.  Place the decal on the surface and align it

6.  Using a card or vinyl squeegee, rub over the decal to push the water out and help the decal adhere to the surface

7.  Let sit for a couple hours. Push out any air bubbles or pop them with a fine tipped blade

8. Use heat source (heat gun/hair dryer) to set the decal

9.  Do not run through a car wash or pressure wash for at least 3 days to allow decals to bond

Inlays

Inlays do not come with transfer tape. This allows you to remove sections of the inlay during install. Grab a couple of q-tips and paper towels.

1.  Clean the area thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol using a paper towel or Q tip. Whatever allows you to get into the area to clean it best. Inlays have a small surface area and need a clean surface to stick.

2.  Mix 20oz of water, use one drop dish soap and ½ teaspoon of isopropyl alcohol.

3.  Spray the solution on the emblem where you are going to place the inlay. Don’t soak the area, but apply enough where the decal will have enough lubrication to slide around.  You will also want some of the solution on your hands, so the decal does not stick to your hand.

4.  Carefully remove a piece of the inlay decal and place into the emblem. You should be able to gently slide the decal around in order to align it.

5.  Use a soft towel, paper towel, q-tip to push the decal into place. Gently dab the decal to push out and remove as much water as possible from behind the decal. You want the decal to be smooth at this point.

6.  Let the decal sit for a few minutes. As the water dries, you can also post heat the area with a hair dryer/heat gun (do not hold the heat source to close to the inlay or it will melt or burn it).
